User talk:Thv
From Jacob grace
[edit]I am confused about where to leave my message so that you, Thv, can read the message directly after I read both your user page and user talk. Therefore, I choice to leave it here.
Thank you for telling me about the writing style. In fact, that is just one of my questions: why HTML do not support that and so few textbooks use that. Now I realize the reason is that it not a formal style. Thank you. Jacob grace 13:41, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
uatx
[edit]Hi Thv! I didn't even know the u was supposed to be a µ! I added uatx to the article text because I ran into uatx in a specification and didn't know what it was. So I did a search for uatx through wikipedia and came up empty. Eventually, I figured it out so I added the term to the article. Now that it is µatx, anyone doing the same search as me will come up empty. Any thoughts on how we can get a uatx search to point to the right article? --Steven Fisher 06:37, 4 August 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks, the redirect is a perfect solution. :) --Steven Fisher 07:03, 4 August 2005 (UTC)

Targum
[edit]Thank you for your interest in Targum (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views). I recently reverted a rather POV contribution on the relationship between Targumim and Peshitta. This fringe theory was added as if it were agreed by mainstream scholars, so I reverted it. I noticed that you then reverted my edit as a deletion. I shall return the article to an acceptable state. If you are unsure about the correctness of either version of the article, please use the article's talk page. --Gareth Hughes 13:30, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
Rousette Skating ??

(Please reply here: Talk:Ice_skating#Rousette Skating ??)

Neo1973 or Neo 1973
[edit]Hi! Yesterday I moved the article Neo1973 to Neo 1973 which I think is the correct title. I'm sorry for not giving any reasons, but I thought this title was obviously the correct one. As I found out today it's not really that obvious. Many pages in the Openmoko Wiki still use the outdated name Neo1973. However, this name is not correct anymore as it was changed in February 2008. The Editing Guidelines of Openmoko wiki now state that Neo 1973 is the correct name. It's the same at the official website at openmoko.com: See [1] and [2]
May I change the name to Neo 1973 again? --Galadh (talk) 13:18, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- You seem to be right on this. I just checked the openmoko wiki where it mostly refers as Neo1973, but after reading style guide and newest press material from your links I stand corrected. I actually moved already the page back, but please help fixing references with old name. --Thv (talk) 07:58, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for understanding! I have now changed the name to Neo 1973 in all articles where I could find it. --Galadh (talk) 09:18, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Wikimania 2010 could be coming to Stockholm!
[edit]I'm leaving you a note as you may be interested in this opportunity.
People from all six Nordic Wiki-communities (sv, no, nn, fi, da and is) are coordinating a bid for Wikimania 2010 in Stockholm. I'm sending you a message to let you know that this is occurring, and over the next few months we're looking for community support to make sure this happens! See the bid page on meta and if you like such an idea, please sign the "supporters" list at the bottom. Tack (or takk), and have a wonderful day! Mike H. Fierce! 10:56, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Thv! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 720 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

The article Seppo Säynäjäkangas has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. Proposed deletion of Secure User Plane Location
[edit]The article Secure User Plane Location has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (software) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Rousette skating
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rousette skating requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.) that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
